Innovative Finance Consultant
I am a global development practitioner working at the intersection of finance and social impact. I advise governments, philanthropic entities, nonprofits and social enterprises on moving beyond traditional grants to blended finance mechanisms that leverage private capital and maximise social outcomes. I am an expert in results-based financing approaches, in particular Development Impact Bonds (DIBs), a model I helped develop in collaboration with the Center for Global Development.
My work spans multiple sectors, including health, agriculture, workforce development, humanitarian assistance and migration, in a wide range of countries and operating contexts, from conflict and fragile states like Iraq to middle-income countries like Malaysia and Colombia. My services include:
– research, analysis and writing
I am a “global citizen” born in a country that no longer exists (hint: think vodka and mythical bears) and am currently based in Washington, DC.
